Hey there, folks! A quick check in because silly me didn't yesterday.
I got my WiiFit and I love it! It's a whole lot of fun and I must say for the desk working me, a big sweat inducer! :D I did step aerobics, running, hula hoops and more as well. I'm planning to hook it up after I finish my daily work today! :)

So far, so good on the weight front. I'm trying to change how I eat now by sticking into calorie ranges and eating 6 smaller meals a day instead of three. I have three main meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus 3 small snacks. So I'm pretty much eating every couple of hours but I'm eating small amounts.
Snacks are mostly going to consist of fruit and any veggies that I like. I'm doing really well so far! I've kept in my calorie range every day this past week. :)

Weigh-In Monday is coming soon!

Weigh-in Mondays!

I've been gone for a bit but I'm starting on some new projects, sorry for that! However, I've come back with a goal - to lose 42 pounds before April 2009!

I don't think I've mentioned before but one of my hobbies is cosplay. I go to, currently, one anime convention a year and while there, I dress up as various characters from animes/video games/etc. Whatever character strikes my fancy, pretty much! I have a lot of fun with it and I just love 'being' my favorite characters for a while! :)

I've joined up with SparkPeople to help me battle this bulge, so to speak.

So far, this has been wonderful! :) The nutrition tracker really helps keep count of what I eat and what calories I burn as well! Since joining, I've been out walking a mile at least once a day, if not twice.

So thus, ever Monday I'm going to have a weigh-in, starting next Monday. I'll also post up my menu for next week then too! :)

If anyone else is on Spark and would like to be buddies, feel free to speak up.

Crockpot Apple Dumplings... utterly delicious.

Crockpot Apple Dumplings

These are the next day so the globs you see there are the sauce, haha. Personally I like them better fresh but they are still very good this way as well. I imagine heating them up though is a world of difference.
Haha, yes, I eat most things cold. I hate how most things taste after you heat them up, plus it's a habit I got into in college.

I ought to remember to take food shots more often though! :)

Money Woes

Like most everyone else I know, my husband and I are a paycheck-to-paycheck sort of couple. There's no denying that everyone is feeling that pinch in their wallets, from gas prices to food prices and everything in between.

I usually stock up on groceries twice a month. Given that it's just my husband and myself, it's pretty simple to do! But I never get out of a grocery trip, no matter how small it seems, without spending a good $90-100 dollars.
A big contributor to that though is the fact that I've just never been a coupon clipper or a sale watcher. These are some habits I definitely need to learn though.

So are you folks out there feeling the squeeze too? What are some ways you've loosened up your budgets? :)

A short vacation break!

Hey there, everyone! :)

I'm taking a short break between Monday and Wednesday of this week to visit Shaker Village in Kentucky with my mother! We may not even stay that long but hey, we'll see!
I'm looking forward to taking a look at the jewelry they offer, not to mention the homemade candy, candles and soaps!

I promise I'll bring back pictures, if I can! :)

Have a lovely start of the week and take care.

How about some games?

Hey folks! Whew, what a day it has been, let me tell you. :) Work, work and more work.
Since I work at home, I do get the luxury of little breaks now and then, which really helps keep me focused. And during those little breaks, there is nothing I like better than playing games - particularly online games!

One of my favorite places to go now is Gamerevolt! You can play free computer games here to your heart's content! One of my current favorites is the Boneless Girl. It might sound a little stranger but trust me, this game will have you enthralled for hours. I know it does me!

Not only that but Gamerevolt has jigsaw puzzles too! I just love jigsaw puzzles in real life and I love them even more online! And I will admit, I am much better at them on the computer too! ;)

If jigsaw puzzles aren't your speed though, they also have free online adventure games too! Now when it comes to the online adventure games, my current favorite on Gamerevolt is Plankton Life! If you like evolution-type games then this one is sure to give you several hours of fun! :)

Anyhow, back to work now... if I can keep myself from playing any more games, that is! :)
